Afghanistan’s national futsal team defeated Pas Iran 4–1 during its Tehran training camp, the Afghanistan Football Federation announced, according to reports published on Monday.
The friendly gave the squad another match before the Copa das Nações de Futsal in Brazil, scheduled for October 12–18.
Pas compete in Iran’s first division, Afghanistan International reported. Afghanistan had previously drawn 4–4 with Bank Karafarin during the camp.
Afghanistan will face national teams in Brazil after testing themselves against Iranian club opposition in Tehran.
Afghanistan are drawn with Japan and Peru in Group B of the Brazil tournament. Hosts Brazil, Indonesia and Cape Verde make up Group A.
