More than two million fans have attended FIFA Fan Festival events across North America as excitement surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026 continues to grow.

The FIFA Fan Festival has welcomed more than two million visitors after the first 24 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026, highlighting the tournament’s growing popularity across the United States, Mexico and Canada.

According to FIFA, the festivals attracted nearly two million visitors during the opening round of matches, with attendance surpassing the two-million mark on June 18.

Mexico’s host cities have drawn the largest crowds so far, led by Mexico City with more than 527,000 visitors. Monterrey and Guadalajara followed with attendances of over 244,000 and 218,000 respectively.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised the response from supporters, saying the Fan Festivals were created to bring together local residents and international visitors to celebrate football, entertainment and local culture.

The Fan Festivals have hosted live match screenings, concerts and cultural events throughout the tournament. Performances by internationally renowned artists have attracted large audiences in several host cities.

FIFA has announced an extensive schedule of concerts, entertainment activities and match-viewing events at Fan Festival venues throughout the remainder of the tournament, which runs until July 19.

The FIFA Fan Festival is an official fan engagement program held during the FIFA World Cup, providing supporters with free public viewing areas, live entertainment and cultural activities. Thirteen host cities across Canada, Mexico and the United States are staging Fan Festival events during the 2026 tournament.
