Madrid: The 2025 La Liga summer transfer window has closed, and Real Madrid has secured the top three most expensive signings of the season.
The highest-priced transfer was Dean Huijsen, the Spanish center-back from Bournemouth, who joined Real Madrid for €62.5 million. Bournemouth had bought him from Juventus for just €15.2 million a year ago, making this a highly profitable deal for the English club.
Second on the list is Álvaro Carreras, another defender, who made the move from Benfica to Real Madrid for €50 million.
Completing the top three is Franco Mastantuono, an 18-year-old Argentine midfielder, whose transfer from River Plate cost the Spanish giants €45 million.
Real Madrid’s heavy investment reflects their ambition to reinforce the squad for the new La Liga season and maintain dominance both domestically and in Europe.
