Baghlan Premier Football League Kicks Off with Independence FC Securing Opening Win

BAGHLAN: The 2025 Baghlan Football Premier League officially began on Saturday with provincial football officials, committee members, and dozens of enthusiastic fans attending the opening ceremony.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of Mohammad Gul Meskinyar, President of the Baghlan Football Federation, Abdul Haq Shaheen Beig, Head of the Futsal Committee, and other local sports officials.

In the opening match, Independence FC defeated Shaheen Fabrika FC 3-1 to claim the tournament’s first victory. Organizers said the league aims to promote competitive football in the province and provide a platform for young talent to showcase their skills.

The competition will continue over the coming weeks, with top teams battling for the provincial championship title.
