
Shahristan defeats Ettehad 4–1 to win the Bamyan Unity and Solidarity Cup.

Bamyan: The Bamyan provincial football tournament, held under the banner of the Unity and Solidarity Cup, concluded on Monday with Shahristan emerging as champions after a decisive 4–1 victory over Ettehad in the final.
The four day tournament, organized by the provincial branch of the Afghanistan Football Federation in cooperation with the Bamyan Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, featured six teams competing in the Wars District.
Speaking after the final, tournament coordinator Ahmad Zia Hemmati said: “These competitions bring young players together, not just to compete, but to foster unity and solidarity in our communities.”
Players and spectators celebrated the victory as Shahristan lifted the cup, with individual awards also handed out to top performers at the closing ceremony.
Football remains one of the most popular sports in Afghanistan, often serving as a tool for social cohesion and youth engagement.
Local tournaments like the Unity and Solidarity Cup aim to provide competitive opportunities while strengthening community ties through sport.
