
The Esteqlal Markaz team claimed the championship title in the “Hamdele” Football League of Tagab Ashnan, Tulak District, after defeating Uqabaan 4–2 in the final match.

The “Hamdele” Football League in Tagab Ashnan, Tulak District of Ghor Province, concluded on Monday, October 11, 2025, with Esteqlal Markaz emerging as champions. The tournament, organized by the local Department of Sports in Tulak and the district branch of the Football Federation, was held in coordination with the Ghor Provincial Football Federation and the Department of Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports.
Eight teams competed over the two-week event, which aimed to promote football, strengthen solidarity among youth, and identify talented players for the district’s representative team.
In a thrilling final, Esteqlal Markaz defeated Uqabaan 4–2 to secure the championship title, while Uqabaan and Shaheen finished second and third,respectively.
In the individual awards, Sadiq Nazari of Esteqlal Markaz earned the Golden Boot with 14 goals. His teammate Zalami was named Best Goalkeeper, and Mohammad Hanif from Uqabaan received the Best Player award.
At the closing ceremony, trophies, medals, and certificates of appreciation were presented to the top teams and outstanding players in recognition of their performance and contribution to local sports development.
Football remains one of the most popular sports in Ghor Province, where local leagues such as “Hamdele” play a vital role in fostering youth engagement, promoting community unity, and discovering emerging talent. The event was supported by local sports authorities as part of ongoing efforts to expand grassroots football in rural areas of Afghanistan.
