
Afghanistan’s sports authorities warmly welcomed and honored Ali Bilal, the Arnold Classic world champion and Masters Olympia silver medalist, praising his international achievements and commitment to representing the country.

Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education and Sports, in cooperation with the National Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, held a special ceremony in Kabul to warmly welcome and honor Ali Bilal, the champion of the Arnold Classic international competitions and runner-up of the Masters Olympia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Maulvi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Director General of the country’s sports administration, welcomed Ali Bilal and stated that the large turnout of people from different parts of the country reflects how sport serves as a symbol of unity and solidarity. He assured Ali Bilal of the continued support of the sports administration.
Meanwhile, Bawar Khan Hotak, President of the National Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, also welcomed the athlete and emphasized that Ali Bilal’s experience and advice are essential for young athletes. He called on him to share his valuable guidance with the new generation of bodybuilders.
Ali Bilal, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to sports officials and the Afghan people for their warm reception. He promised that, God willing, he would turn his silver medal into a gold medal in future competitions. He also expressed happiness over the improved situation in Afghanistan and said he was deeply moved by the warm welcome he received upon returning home. Ali Bilal further voiced hope that more Afghan athletes would compete alongside him in major international tournaments in the future.
The welcoming ceremony was attended by Maulvi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Hafiz Ahmad Jan Zadran, Technical and Professional Deputy of the sports administration, various advisers and directors, the leadership and members of the National Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, media representatives, and a large number of citizens.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation and official gifts were presented to Ali Bilal by the National Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and the National Olympic Committee.
Ali Bilal is one of Afghanistan’s most successful bodybuilders on the international stage. He won the Fitness title at the 2025 Arnold Classic competitions and secured second place at the Masters Olympia in both 2024 and 2025, earning global recognition for Afghan bodybuilding and fitness.
His achievements have played a key role in promoting bodybuilding and fitness in Afghanistan, inspiring young athletes and strengthening the country’s presence in international sporting events.
