
A week-long volleyball tournament involving 12 teams concluded in Baghlan’s Dahana-e-Ghori district, promoting youth engagement, sports development, and community cohesion.

The inter-district volleyball championship organized in Dahana-e-Ghori district of Baghlan province concluded after one week of competition, bringing together 12 teams from different areas. The tournament was held by the local office of the National Volleyball Federation in cooperation with the Baghlan Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.
In the final match, the Dahana-e-Ghori volleyball team defeated the Shalkato team 3–1 to claim the championship title. The event drew considerable attention from local residents and sports enthusiasts, highlighting the growing interest in volleyball across the district.
Organizers said the competition aimed to encourage young people to participate in sports, create a healthy competitive environment, and strengthen unity among communities.
In recent years, volleyball has emerged as a popular sport among youth in Baghlan province. Limited recreational opportunities have made local tournaments an important platform for positive youth engagement. Sports officials believe such events help reduce social divisions, promote teamwork, and contribute to long-term peace and stability through sports development.
