The Afghanistan national futsal team played out a 2–2 draw against PAS Mashhad in a friendly match held in the Iranian city of Mashhad on Wednesday.
With several overseas-based players unavailable, the coaching staff used the match as an opportunity to give extended playing time to younger members of the squad. The encounter allowed the technical team to assess depth and individual performances ahead of future competitions.
Afghanistan showed resilience throughout the game, responding well to pressure and maintaining balance despite limited experience at international level. Both teams exchanged goals in a competitive contest that remained evenly matched until the final whistle.
Team officials said the friendly was part of broader preparations aimed at developing younger talent and maintaining match sharpness, while building toward upcoming regional and international fixtures.
