Barcelona advanced to the final of the Spanish Super Cup after a commanding 5–0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final, producing a one-sided contest that underlined their attacking efficiency and control.
The Catalan side set the tone early and maintained pressure throughout the match, preventing Bilbao from gaining any sustained foothold and sealing qualification for the final with ease.
The second semi-final is scheduled for later today, with Real Madrid set to face Atlético Madrid to determine Barcelona’s opponent in the final.
The Spanish Super Cup features four teams drawn from La Liga and the Copa del Rey and is being hosted this year in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The tournament began on January 7 and will conclude on January 11, bringing together Spain’s top clubs in a short-format competition outside the country.
