300 athletes compete as Nangarhar secures top honors

A two-day wrestling competition concluded in Jalalabad, organized by the Wrestling Federation in collaboration with the Nangarhar Physical Training and Sports Directorate. The event brought together 300 athletes from Nangarhar, Kapisa, Parwan, and Kabul provinces.

Nangarhar dominated the tournament with 150 wins, claiming first place, while Kabul secured second with 40 victories and Parwan took third with three wins.

The championship highlights regional efforts to promote traditional wrestling and foster inter-provincial sports participation. By attracting competitors from multiple provinces, the event strengthens athletic networks and provides a platform for local wrestlers to gain recognition and advance their careers.
