Faisal Shinozada moved to the top of the run-scorers’ table at the ICC Under-19 World Cup after scoring 110 runs against India, establishing himself as the most prolific batter of the tournament so far.

Shinozada has now accumulated 435 runs in the competition, placing him ahead of England’s Ben Mays, who sits second with 399 runs from six matches. Sri Lanka’s Chamodita follows in third place with 310 runs.

The Afghan batter currently holds a 36-run lead over Mays. However, the England player still has one match remaining in the final against India, a factor that could influence the final standings of the run-scorers’ list.

Shinozada’s consistent performances have been central to Afghanistan’s results at the Under-19 World Cup, reinforcing the team’s growing reputation for producing high-impact young batters. His form has drawn attention from cricket analysts tracking the emergence of Afghanistan’s next generation at international youth level.
