Afghan boxer Fatima Jafari is set to compete for a championship belt in an international boxing event in Quetta, Pakistan, as she continues her rise in professional combat sports.

Jafari, alongside fellow Afghan boxer Ali Sina Rezai, will face Pakistani opponents in upcoming international bouts organized in the city. Both athletes are members of the Fajr Boxing Academy in Pakistan, where they have been training and competing at professional and amateur levels.

According to the academy, Rezai enters the competition with an undefeated record across 20 amateur and professional fights and is scheduled to compete on 10 May 2026 against a Pakistani opponent. Officials also stated that the results of the matches will be officially registered through the World Boxing Organization’s system.

Jafari, who has already secured victories in two professional contests, now faces what observers describe as a defining moment in her career as she attempts to capture a championship belt. Her participation reflects the growing presence of Afghan women athletes in international combat sports despite ongoing limitations on opportunities within Afghanistan.
