The Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee expressed appreciation to Afghanistan’s sports leadership for participating in an international sports forum hosted by Russia.

Viktor Berezov, Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee, thanked the Director General of Afghanistan’s sports authority, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq, for attending an international sports forum hosted by Russia and presented him with commemorative gifts from the Russian Olympic Committee.

During the meeting, Wasiq praised Russia’s hospitality and stated that such gatherings help strengthen sporting relations between countries and contribute to the development of sports at the international level.

The International Forum for Encouraging Young Olympic Medalists, hosted by Russia, began on Monday and is being held over two days. The forum aims to recognize and encourage young Olympic medal winners while promoting healthy competition among athletes.

International sports forums provide opportunities for sports officials, athletes, and organizations to exchange experiences, strengthen cooperation, and support the development of emerging talent. The forum in Russia focuses on motivating young Olympic medalists and fostering greater international engagement in sports.
