
A one-day selection tournament for the Nimroz provincial wushu team was held successfully in Zaranj, bringing together sports officials, coaches, martial arts veterans, and athletes from different age groups.

The competition was organized to identify top talents and select the official Nimroz Wushu Team. The event was attended by Qari Ahmad Shah “Mobariz”, head of the Olympic, Physical Education and Sports Directorate of Nimroz, Shah Zaman “Gorg”, coach of Afghanistan’s national youth team and representative of wushu in Nimroz, and Ainuddin “Eshaqzai”, representative of Afghan migrant wushu athletes in Iran.
Athletes showcased a high level of skill and preparedness in an energetic and competitive atmosphere. Organizers said the tournament aimed to promote the sport, discover young talent, and strengthen wushu in the province.
During the event, Qari Ahmad Shah “Mobariz” emphasized continued support for athletes and sports programs in Nimroz, describing such competitions as important for youth development and the growth of sports in the province.
Shah Zaman “Gorg” and Ainuddin “Eshaqzai” also praised the technical standard of the matches and the strong participation of athletes, calling it a sign of progress for wushu in Nimroz.
At the end of the tournament, top athletes from different age categories were selected and officially introduced as members of the Nimroz provincial wushu team.
