A total of 83 athletes from 27 clubs took part in the fifth edition of the Kabul Mass Wrestling Championship.

The fifth edition of the Kabul Mass Wrestling Championship was held in coordination with the Kabul Directorate of Physical Education and Sports and organized by the Afghanistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.

The competition brought together 83 athletes representing 27 clubs from across Kabul Province.

Athletes competed in youth and senior categories across multiple weight divisions ranging from under 60 kilograms to over 130 kilograms.

At the conclusion of the tournament, 48 athletes were selected to represent Afghanistan in upcoming national and international mass wrestling competitions.

The event was attended by Bawar Hotak, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee and President of the Afghanistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, along with sports officials, athletes and supporters.

Certificates, medals and trophies were awarded to the top-performing athletes during the closing ceremony.

Mass wrestling is one of the growing strength-based sports in Afghanistan. National competitions serve as an important platform for identifying talented athletes and preparing them for international events.
