Spain enter the tournament as the defending champions after reclaiming the title in 2025, while 16 teams will compete across four groups for the European crown.

The rosters for the FIBA U16 Women’s EuroBasket 2026 have been confirmed, with 16 teams set to compete in Pitesti, Romania, from August 14 to 22.

The teams have been divided into four groups. Group A includes France, Serbia, Romania and Croatia, while Italy, Latvia, Türkiye and Israel form Group B.

Spain, Poland, Bulgaria and Czechia are in Group C, with Slovenia, Germany, Lithuania and Hungary making up Group D.

The tournament opened with three consecutive days of Group Phase action, with teams competing for seeding ahead of the Round of 16. The knockout stage will continue through the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals.

The Semi-Finals are scheduled for August 21, with the champions to be crowned on August 22.

The Pitesti tournament is the final event of the European summer Youth EuroBasket schedule.
