Afghanistan’s National Powerlifting Federation held a one-day training seminar for around 150 athletes from 14 provinces in Kabul ahead of national team selection competitions.
The seminar provided theoretical and practical instruction on fundamental and professional powerlifting principles, improving technique, lifting methods and rules required during competition.
During practical sessions, athletes received guidance on correct execution of powerlifting movements, body positioning, weight control and safe training methods.
The training was designed to help athletes apply their skills correctly and professionally during competition.
National team selection competitions are scheduled to begin on Sunday at the sports administration’s 500-seat gymnasium.
The seminar was organized by the National Powerlifting Federation as part of preparations for competitions that will select athletes for Afghanistan’s national powerlifting team.
