Formula One has selected Milan for an expanded three-day launch event ahead of the 2027 season, the championship announced on Friday.
F1 Live Milan will run from February 18 to 20 and involve all 11 teams. The event will include the Milan Fan Festival across all three days and F1 The Show, a one-night presentation scheduled for February 18.
Formula One said the show will feature appearances by the 2027 drivers and team principals, alongside music and entertainment. The venue and detailed programme have not yet been disclosed.
The Milan event follows F1 75 Live, the collective season launch held at London’s O2 Arena in 2025. According to Formula One, that broadcast reached 37 territories and drew a live audience of 7.5 million viewers.
The decision places the event close to Monza, home of the Italian Grand Prix and one of the championship’s longest-standing circuits. Milan was presented as a setting capable of combining Italy’s motorsport tradition with a large public festival.
Formula One chief executive Stefano Domenicali said the expanded format is intended to bring supporters closer to the teams and drivers while creating a more immersive launch than the London event.
Tickets are expected to go on sale later in 2026, with pre-registration available beforehand. Formula One said fans unable to attend in Milan will be able to follow the event through broadcast and digital channels.
