Football referees have completed a decisive fitness assessment as the Afghanistan Football Federation prepares to select match officials for the sixth Afghanistan Champions League season.
The assessment was conducted under the supervision of Shakerullah Ebrahimi, head of the federation’s Referees Committee.
The fitness test formed part of the federation’s preparations to determine which referees are physically qualified to officiate during the upcoming domestic league season.
It followed practical training and instruction on current football refereeing laws organised under Ebrahimi’s supervision.
The federation said the final list of referees appointed to the sixth Afghanistan Champions League season would be announced soon.
The announcement did not specify the number of referees who participated or how many would be selected.
