Defending champions Abu Muslim Farah and Omar Zawak Herat have extended their perfect starts to the 2026 Afghanistan Champions League after recording their second victories of the season in Kabul on Monday.
Abu Muslim produced the larger victory of the day, defeating Istiqlal Kabul 4–0 to move onto six points from two matches.
The result follows the defending champions’ 3–0 opening-round victory over Sarsabz Yashlar Faryab.
Abu Muslim have therefore scored seven goals without conceding across their opening two matches, giving the Farah club an early advantage on goal difference.
Omar Zawak also maintained their 100 per cent record, defeating Sarsabz Yashlar 3–1 in Monday’s other second-round fixture.
The Herat side entered the match after beating Khurasan Faryab 2–0 in its opening game.
Two wins from two leave Omar Zawak with six points, five goals scored and one conceded.
The results put Abu Muslim and Omar Zawak at the front of the early standings among teams that have completed two matches, with Abu Muslim holding the stronger goal difference.
For Sarsabz Yashlar, the result compounds a difficult start to the campaign. The Faryab club has now lost its opening two matches, first falling 3–0 to Abu Muslim before Monday’s 3–1 defeat against Omar Zawak.
Istiqlal also remain without a point after their second-round defeat to the defending champions.
The wider table remains tightly contested because several other clubs had won their opening matches and have not yet completed their second fixtures.
Sorkh Poshan, Sarrafan and Ariana were all on three points after the opening round, meaning their next results will determine how closely they can remain in touch with the two early leaders.

Omar Zawak, meanwhile, have also made a significant early statement. Back-to-back victories have put the Herat side level with the champions on points and established an early two-team benchmark before the rest of the second round is completed.
