Sorkh Poshan Khafi made it three wins from three in the Afghanistan Champions League with a 3–1 victory over Toofan Herat in Kabul on Sunday.
Yaser Safi put Sorkh Poshan ahead before Naweed Mahbobi added their second. Sahel Sarwari scored the third, while Enayatullah Kohi was on target for Toofan Herat.
Safi was named Player of the Match.
The result leaves Sorkh Poshan with nine points from their opening three matches. They have scored eight goals and conceded only once during that run.
Their campaign began with a 3–0 victory over Aino Mina before a 2–0 win against Arman FC. Sunday’s result extended that winning start against a Toofan side that had opened its own season by beating Istiqlal Kabul.
Sorkh Poshan’s next league match is scheduled against defending champions Abu Muslim Farah on September 22.
The sixth season of the Afghanistan Champions League features 10 clubs and is being played in a home-and-away format in Kabul.
