The Afghanistan Cricket Board’s High-Performance Center has presented certificates to 245 coaches and technical personnel who completed a series of specialist courses and workshops.
According to the ACB, the training was conducted in 2024 and involved participants from across Afghanistan. The programme included Level 1 and Level 2 coaching, umpiring, match refereeing, physiotherapy, massage therapy and scoring.
Technical staff working in the private sector also took part. The board said their inclusion was intended to extend professional knowledge beyond its own workforce and support the development of young cricketers around the country.
The certificate ceremony recognised completion of the courses rather than announcing a new intake. The ACB did not provide a breakdown showing how many participants completed each discipline, nor did it publish assessment results or provincial participation figures.
Participants were encouraged to continue developing their knowledge and to represent the board professionally. The initiative forms part of the High-Performance Center’s responsibility for strengthening the technical workforce that supports Afghanistan’s domestic and national cricket structures.
