
Herat Etisaar defeated Nimroz Shek Pooshan 5–1 in opening match as eight-day national competition begins

The Afghanistan Futsal First Division League officially kicked off in Kabul, featuring six teams in coordination with the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports and the Futsal Committee of the Afghanistan Football Federation.
The participating teams are Kabul Naseem FC, Parwan Shaheen, Baghlan Yawali, Nimroz Shek Pooshan, Balkh Yaran Omar, and Herat Etisaar.
In the opening match, Herat Etisaar secured a dominant 5–1 victory over Nimroz Shek Pooshan, claiming the first win of the tournament.
The league aims to provide competitive exposure, identify top-performing teams, and contribute to the development of futsal in Afghanistan. The eight-day competition will continue in Kabul.
Futsal has been steadily growing in Afghanistan in recent years, with increasing participation at both provincial and national levels. The Afghanistan Football Federation continues to organize structured leagues to strengthen the sport’s development pathway and support emerging talent.
