India opener Shafali Verma has moved up two places to fourth in the ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings after a productive run at the Asian Games in Japan.

The International Cricket Council confirmed the latest rankings on Tuesday, with performances from the Asian Games producing several of the week’s biggest movements.

Verma’s rise followed an unbeaten 100 against Bangladesh in the semifinal at Nisshin, her first T20I century. She had earlier made an unbeaten 40 against Japan.

Pakistan’s Shawaal Zulfiqar also made a substantial jump, climbing 16 places to a career-best 29th.

Zulfiqar scored 25 against Indonesia in the quarterfinal before making 54 in Pakistan’s semifinal against Sri Lanka.

Ayesha Zafar climbed 31 positions to 40th in the batting rankings after scoring 71 against Sri Lanka. She also moved nine places to 30th among T20I all-rounders.

India continue to hold the top two places in the bowling rankings.

Shree Charani remains No. 1 with 799 rating points, while Deepti Sharma is second on 729.

Their teammates Kranti Gaud and Nandani Sharma also reached career-best rating points. Gaud climbed 15 places to 57th and Sharma moved 22 positions to 72nd.

Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal advanced one place to eighth, while captain Fatima Sana rose five places to 24th.

Bangladesh’s Sanjida Akter Meghla moved five positions to joint-49th and Thailand’s Onnicha Kamchomphu climbed six places to joint-63rd after taking three wickets against Pakistan.

The rankings update also reflected South Africa’s 5–0 T20I series victory over Zimbabwe.

Miane Smit climbed 63 places to a career-best joint-53rd among batters, while Player of the Series Anneke Bosch moved eight places to 46th after scoring 214 runs across the five matches.

Zimbabwe’s Nyasha Gwanzura entered the top 100 of the bowling rankings for the first time, climbing 28 places to 87th.
