The competition was held in Hindukush village with athletes drawn from the area, the Afghanistan General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports said on Wednesday.
According to the directorate’s account, 35 contests produced winners while five finished level. The official report did not name the athletes or provide weight divisions and individual results.
The provincial kurash federation’s office organised the event in cooperation with Jowzjan’s physical education and sports administration.
Local kurash competitions remain a regular feature of community sport in northern Afghanistan, though detailed brackets and formal rankings are not always published for these events.
