Eleven Star opened an eight-team football tournament in Sharana, the capital of Paktika province, with a 1–0 win over Kashiwal, the national sports directorate reported on Tuesday.
The provincial football federation’s representative office organised the competition under Paktika’s Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.
The tournament is expected to last about 12 days, according to the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports (GDPES).
GDPES did not name the scorer or list the remaining fixtures in its announcement.
