Hindukush Strikers Start Ahmad Shah Abdali Tournament With 71-Run Win
KHOST, Afghanistan — Hindukush Strikers secured a 71-run victory over Pamir Legends in the Ahmad Shah Abdali First Class Tournament after a dominant bowling display led by right-arm fast bowler Ziaurrahman Sharifi, who finished the match with nine wickets.
Sharifi’s six-wicket second-innings performance was supported by Hashmatullah Shahidi, who took two wickets, while Sayed Shirzad and Farmanullah Safi claimed one wicket each.
The result highlighted the strength of Hindukush Strikers’ bowling unit, with Sharifi playing the leading role across both innings. His nine wickets made the fast bowler the central figure in the victory and earned him the Player of the Match award.
Sharifi also spoke about his performance and bowling approach after the match, explaining his efforts in a video published alongside the team’s coverage.
