The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is set to launch the 15th edition of the Najibullah Taraki Zonal T20 Tournament for players with disabilities, as part of its annual domestic cricket calendar.
The tournament will begin on April 27 and continue until May 4 at the Kandahar Cricket Stadium, featuring selected teams from five regional zones.
Teams representing Mis Ainak, Band-e-Amir, Boost, Spin Ghar, and Amo will compete in the event. Each team will play four matches in the early stage, after which the top two teams will advance to the final.
The competition will run for eight days, with a total of 11 matches scheduled, including the final, which will take place on May 4 between the top-performing teams.
Boost Zone enters the tournament as the defending champion, having won the previous edition, and will aim to retain its title in this year’s competition.
The event marks the fifth domestic tournament organized by the ACB in the current year, reflecting continued efforts to expand structured cricket opportunities. According to the schedule, the next major event will be the National T20 Cup (Super Cola), set to be held in May.
