Nad Ali Launches First Night Football Tournament as 16 Teams Begin Month-Long Competition
Sixteen teams have begun competing in Nad Ali district's first night-time group football tournament in Helmand province. Jawanan Amiri and Loy Bagh Jawanan won their opening matches 2–1, with two fixtures scheduled each evening over the month-long competition.

Nad Ali district in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province has launched its first night-time group football tournament, with 16 teams taking part in a competition scheduled to run for one month.
The tournament is being organised by the district's football federation office, operating under Helmand's Department of Physical Education and Sports, at Nad Ali's central football stadium.
Two matches were played on the opening night, both ending in 2–1 victories.
Jawanan Amiri defeated Etifaq Khanzada 2–1 in the opening fixture to secure the tournament's first win.
In the second match, Loy Bagh Jawanan beat Marja Nawi Jawanan by the same scoreline.
Organisers have scheduled two matches every night at the district's central sports ground throughout the competition.
The tournament marks the first time Nad Ali has staged a night-time group football event of this kind, according to the local organisers.
Beyond the results, the competition has been established with a wider community objective.
Organisers say the month-long event is intended to strengthen unity among young people through football, bringing local teams together in regular evening matches.
With 16 teams participating, the tournament will provide opportunities for players to compete against different opponents while attracting local interest in organised football.
The organisers have not yet announced the full fixture list, group standings, knockout arrangements or the date of the final.
