Qosh Tepa defeated nine rival teams to win the first-ever Afghanistan Wrestling Premier League, with Akhowat finishing second and Setaraha third.

Qosh Tepa claimed the title of the inaugural Afghanistan Wrestling Premier League after defeating nine rival teams in the 10-day competition held in Kabul.
Organized by the Afghanistan Wrestling Federation under the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, the tournament featured 10 teams from different provinces competing across weight categories ranging from 57kg to 125kg at the 2,500-seat national gymnasium.
Akhowat finished as runners-up, while Setaraha secured third place.
The closing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, representatives of the Wrestling Federation, diplomats from several countries, government officials, athletes and thousands of spectators.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director General Ahmadullah Wasiq congratulated the organizers on the successful staging of the league. He expressed hope that future editions would be held on an even larger scale.
The tournament was organized to identify promising wrestling talent, with the top three teams receiving trophies, medals, certificates and other awards during the closing ceremony.
