
KABUL, December 7, 2018 – The ASJF third congress was held in the historical Herat province and addressed the sports media physical security and access to information. In the second session of the congress Mr. Khoshshal Taib, who was nominated to run for presidency, withdraw from the election.
In the meantime Khoshhal Taib, elected as first vice president, Amanullah Qaisari as technical vice president. ASJF President Sayer Zaland thanked ASJF provincial association representatives for electing him as ASJF president for another period and promised to support sport journalists and fight for their rights. He also added that during the period of 2019-2022, under his presidency, he will bring all his experience to fight for the right of sports media, access to information, capacity building of sport journalists, women empowerment, and to observe the sport organization.
Afghanistan sport journalists’ third congress was one of the successful events of the country, which brought 81 journalists from 28 provinces, to talk about their challenges, opportunities, and take part in the second time election.
The ASJF also introduced newly elected EC committee members for 2019, which are as follow:

On the last day of the event, the Congress reviewed work reports, discussed a number of resolutions and topics and also approved some of the recommendations made by the Executive Office in the past meetings.
