Ten teams from four northern provinces begin a regional futsal competition in Jowzjan.

The Northern Zone Inter-Provincial Futsal Championship officially got underway on Thursday in Sheberghan, the capital of Jowzjan province, with the participation of ten selected teams from Jowzjan, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, and Balkh.
The tournament is being organized by the Jowzjan Football Federation, in cooperation with the provincial Department of Physical Education and Sports, and is hosted by the city of Sheberghan.
In the opening match, Khadim FC of Sar-e-Pul delivered a strong performance, defeating Beglar FC of Faryab 5–1 to record the first win of the competition.
Officials said the championship aims to strengthen unity and cooperation among athletes from the northern provinces, while also contributing to the growth and promotion of futsal across the region.
