AIPS will honour sports journalists who have covered 10 or more Olympic Games, summer and winter combined, during a special ceremony at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, the association announced on Monday.

AIPS said the ceremony will take place on February 5, recognising long-serving accredited reporters, photographers and TV or radio journalists who have reported from the Olympic Games while working for a media outlet or as freelancers.

Journalists who meet the criteria and will be present at Milano Cortina 2026 have been asked to complete the “Journalists on the Podium” form by February 2. AIPS said questions can be sent to aipscentennial@aipsmedia.com

, with the subject line: “Journalists on the Podium + your name.”

AIPS noted that applicants may be asked to provide proof of past Olympic coverage, including accreditation badges, articles or photos.

AIPS recognised more than 100 journalists who have covered 10 or more Olympic Games during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. The first “Journalists on the Podium” ceremony was held at the London 2012 Games.
