The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has officially announced its domestic cricket schedule for the ongoing 2026 season, outlining both completed and upcoming tournaments aimed at promoting cricket development across the country.

According to the board, several provincial-level competitions have already been successfully conducted, including the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan 2nd Grade Provincial Tournament held in November 2025, followed by the 1st Grade Provincial Tournament in January 2026 and the 1st Grade Provincial T20 Tournament in February 2026.

The board has also confirmed the schedule for its major domestic events in the coming months. The Mirwais Neka Cup three-day tournament is set to take place in April, followed by the National T20 Cup in May. The List A One-Day Tournament will be played in June, while the Shpageeza Cricket League is scheduled for July 2026.

Additionally, the First-Class Four-Day Tournament is planned for November 2026. The board will also organize two disability cricket series during May and September this year as part of its inclusive cricket development initiatives.

Afghanistan’s domestic cricket structure plays a vital role in identifying and nurturing emerging talent for the national team. These tournaments provide competitive opportunities for provincial and regional players and serve as a pathway to higher-level professional cricket. The inclusion of disability cricket series in the 2026 calendar reflects ongoing efforts by the Afghanistan Cricket Board to promote inclusive participation and expand the reach of the sport nationwide.
