More than 500 international media representatives, broadcasters and Olympic stakeholders gathered in Los Angeles as LA28 showcased operational plans, venue preparations and broadcast strategy for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

World | Organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games presented key operational plans to the international media and broadcast community during the LA28 World Press Briefing and World Broadcaster Meeting, held in Los Angeles from July 21 to 24.
The meetings brought together more than 250 international media representatives, National Olympic Committee (NOC), National Paralympic Committee (NPC) and International Federation (IF) communications officials, alongside nearly 270 broadcast delegates, including representatives from 44 Media Rights-Holders.
During the sessions, LA28 organizers outlined preparations for media services, broadcast operations and venue readiness, while Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) unveiled its production strategy, which includes approximately 3,800 to 4,000 hours of live competition and ceremony coverage.
Participants also toured several key Olympic venues, including the LA Memorial Coliseum, Intuit Dome, the International Broadcast Centre, Main Press Centre, LA Convention Centre and Peacock Theatre, gaining first-hand insight into facilities that will host athletes, media and spectators during the Games.
Earlier in July, LA28 also hosted NOC Open Days, welcoming nearly 90 representatives from 45 National Olympic Committees to discuss operational planning and athlete services ahead of the Games.
LA28 Chairperson Casey Wasserman said the meetings marked an important milestone toward delivering the 2028 Olympics, while OBS CEO Yiannis Exarchos highlighted the progress achieved through close cooperation among organizers and stakeholders.
Los Angeles will host the Olympic Games from July 14 to 30, 2028, followed by the Paralympic Games from August 15 to 27, 2028.
