The Asian Football Confederation has returned its Certificate in Football Administration and Management programme to Jakarta for a second consecutive year, with 30 participants joining the latest Indonesian edition.
The programme, known as ACFAM, is being delivered in cooperation with Garuda Academy and the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). It follows the inaugural Indonesian edition, which concluded in January.
The latest course combines online learning with two in-person training blocks and will continue through November.
Participants will study six areas of football administration: Football Governance, Professional Club Licensing, Content Creation, Income Generation, Strategic Management and Financial Management.
The curriculum is designed to give participants practical exposure to the administrative and strategic work involved in running football organisations. Group discussions, case studies and interactive sessions will form part of the programme.
AFC Deputy General Secretary for Member Associations Vahid Kardany said strengthening the expertise of people working across Indonesian football was increasingly important as the country’s football structures continued to develop.
ACFAM was launched in 2023 under the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence. The hybrid version was first introduced in the Kyrgyz Republic before expanding to Indonesia, Turkmenistan and Brunei Darussalam.
The Jakarta programme forms part of a wider AFC effort to provide professional education in football administration, leadership, safeguarding, club management and strategic planning.
