Afghanistan will learn their opponents for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 qualifiers when the draw takes place at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Aug. 27.

The draw for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 qualifiers will take place at 3 p.m. on Aug. 27 at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

A total of 35 participating teams will be drawn into seven groups of five, with the qualifying matches scheduled to take place from Nov. 8 to 20, 2026.

Afghanistan are ranked 15th for the draw and have been placed in Pot 3 alongside Syria, Bahrain, Jordan, Hong Kong, China and Palestine.

Only the winner of each qualifying group will advance to the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027.

The seven qualifiers will join nine teams that have already secured places in the finals as AFC representatives at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026: Australia, China PR, Japan, Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

The AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 is scheduled to begin in May 2027.


The qualifiers will determine the final seven teams for the 16-team AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027. Afghanistan will seek to finish top of their five-team qualifying group to secure a place in the continental finals.
