Ariana Khost Face Arman FC as Champions League Moves Into Saturday Doubleheader

The newly promoted Khost side are scheduled to meet Arman FC at 7:00 p.m. at the Afghanistan Football Federation Stadium. Arman FC’s own fixture schedule also lists the September 12 meeting, confirming the club’s opening assignment in the sixth-season programme.

Before that match, Sorkh Poshan Khafi face Aino Mina at 3:30 p.m., giving Saturday’s programme two games involving teams yet to register points in the early league table.

The fixtures follow Friday victories for Omar Zawak and Toofan Herat. Omar Zawak defeated Khurasan Faryab 2–0, while Toofan Herat beat Esteqlal Kabul 3–1. Shadab Malekzada and Bilal Akbari scored for Omar Zawak; Enayatullah Kohi struck twice for Toofan Herat.

Ariana Khost’s arrival adds another provincial representative to a 10-team competition being played in a home-and-away format. Their first results will offer an early indication of how quickly the newcomers can adjust to the national league level rather than simply measure their qualification campaign.

Defending champions Abu Muslim Farah opened the season with a 3–0 win over Sarsabz Yashlar. With the competition still in its opening round of matches, Saturday’s games give four more clubs their first opportunity to establish an early position in the table.
