Local Authorities Emphasize Development and Youth Talent Identification

The Badghis Premier League officially opened with a مراسم attended by sports officials, local authorities, former players, coaches, athletes, and hundreds of football supporters.
During the opening ceremony, officials highlighted the importance of developing football in the province and acknowledged the جهود and achievements of local athletes. Players from the Badghis FC U-14 team, who recently finished as runners-up in the western zone competition, were also honored with certificates of recognition.
In the افتتاح match, Kohestan Qarchaghi faced Sabzak Laman, with Sabzak Laman securing a 2–1 victory in a closely contested encounter.
The Badghis Football Federation stated that it aims to strengthen football development further and create more opportunities to identify young talent through continued cooperation with coaches and local stakeholders.
Provincial leagues play a critical role in Afghanistan’s football structure, serving as key platforms for grassroots development and talent identification in the absence of a fully integrated national league system.
