A UFC-style martial arts championship was held in Baghlan province, bringing together 80 athletes from seven provinces in a one-day competition organized by the provincial representative of the national federation in cooperation with the Baghlan Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Baghlan secured first place, while Kunduz finished second and Balkh claimed third.
Organizers presented the top-performing athletes with trophies, medals and championship certificates during the closing ceremony.
The competition formed part of ongoing efforts to promote martial arts and provide athletes with opportunities to compete at the provincial level.
Provincial martial arts tournaments are regularly organized across Afghanistan to encourage participation in combat sports, identify emerging talent and strengthen the development of the discipline through competitive events.
