The draw ceremony for the 1405 Faryab Premier League was held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Faryab Football Federation, bringing together sports officials, football administrators, former players, and representatives of participating clubs ahead of the new season.
The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran and was attended by local sports authorities, including officials from the provincial football federation and futsal committee, along with representatives of the ten participating teams. During the ceremony, clubs learned their groupings and match schedules for the upcoming competition.
According to organizers, the new season of the Faryab Premier League is scheduled to officially begin on 15 Jawza, with the opening match set to take place between Qaisar منتخب A and Sarsabz. Participating teams have already begun training camps and transfer activities in preparation for the tournament.
Officials described the league as an important platform for strengthening grassroots football and maintaining competitive development within the province. Faryab is regarded as one of Afghanistan’s active football provinces and currently has two representatives competing in the Afghanistan Champions League.
Provincial football leagues continue to play a significant role in Afghanistan’s sporting structure by supporting talent development and sustaining organized competition at the local level amid broader challenges facing national football systems.
