Sardar Janan Hashimi Team Wins Gereshk Football Knockout Tournament
Gereshk, Helmand — Sardar Janan Hashimi football team has won a 16-team knockout tournament in Gereshk district of Helmand province after defeating Babaji Hafiz Baryal 1-0 in the final.
The closing ceremony was attended by Helmand sports officials, representatives of the Afghanistan Football Federation in the districts, local officials and a large number of community elders and football supporters.
The tournament was held to provide young people with healthy sporting activity and to strengthen unity among young people through football.
At the closing ceremony, the champions received a motorcycle, while the runners-up and other players were given individual prizes.
