Afghan bodybuilder Wahidullah Siddiqi won a silver medal in the sports physique division at the 58th Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships in Bangkok on Saturday, taking Afghanistan’s medal tally to four silvers.
Siddiqi’s result follows three silver medals won by his teammates on Friday. Baitullah Zadran finished second in the under-75kg category, Yaser Samir Ehsan took silver in the over-75kg division, and Abdul Shakoor Paiman secured another silver in the over-80kg category.
Afghanistan has sent a 13-member team to the championships, which began on September 22 and feature competitors from 24 countries.
The competition is scheduled to continue until September 28, leaving the Afghan delegation with further opportunities to add to its medal tally.
