The Asian Football Confederation has invited international sports media to apply for accreditation for an upcoming AFC event in Bangkok, Thailand.
Applications are being accepted through the AFC Media Channel, the Confederation’s platform for media accreditation and event information.
According to an accreditation notice issued by the AFC Media & Broadcast Operations Team, the application window will close on Friday, November 13, 2026.
The accreditation process is open to three media categories: Written/Digital Press, Photographers and Non-Rights Holders.
Journalists who already have an account on the new AFC Media Channel can log in and submit an accreditation application. Those who have not registered must first create an account on the platform before applying.
The AFC warned that applications submitted after the November 13 deadline will not be guaranteed equal consideration and will instead be processed on a best-effort basis.
Media representatives attending the event will be responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation in Thailand.
Visa arrangements will also remain the responsibility of individual applicants. The AFC said it will not facilitate visa issuance, with journalists who require a visa directed to use Thailand’s official visa application system.
Accredited media will receive further draw-related information and media advisories through the AFC’s official communication channels, including its Media & Broadcast Operations WhatsApp Channel.
The accreditation notice provided to ASJF NEWS refers to an AFC event in Bangkok but does not identify the event by name. ASJF NEWS has therefore not attributed the accreditation process to a particular competition or draw without further official confirmation.
