Himayatullah Qorchangho Reverse September Result to Win Jowzjan Volleyball Final

Himayatullah Qorchangho beat Baz Mohammad Turkmen 3–2 to win a four-team volleyball tournament in Khwaja Dukoh district of Jowzjan province, reversing the result of a meeting between the same sides in September.

The one-day competition was held in Saltaq Kalan village on Wednesday, 14 October, according to Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports (GDPES). The provincial volleyball federation’s representative organised the event with the provincial physical education and sports department.

The two finalists had met in another provincial tournament on 17 September, when Baz Mohammad Turkmen defeated Himayatullah Qorchangho by the same 3–2 margin in Fayzabad district. Wednesday’s result therefore gave Himayatullah Qorchangho a win over the side that had beaten them the previous month, although the matches belonged to separate local competitions.

GDPES did not provide individual set scores or a complete list of the other participating teams. The organiser said the event was intended to encourage volleyball participation and competitive opportunities in the district.
